Pastoral care for Ukrainian migrants in Tartu and Viljandi, Estonia.

In the very large parishes of Iceland, pastoral care can only be maintained with the help of vehicles.

The largest denomination is Lutheran with 34%. During the reporting period, ACN provided vehicles and renovation aid and supported Catholic radio work, as it did in Lithuania. In Estonia, however, Catholics form a very small minority of less than 2% of the population of 1.24 million, the majority of whom are non- denominational. The largest Christian denomination is made up of Orthodox Christians – mainly ethnic Russians – at 16%, followed by Lutherans at just under 10%. Here, ACN in 2024 primarily supported pastoral work for Ukrainian war refugees and assisted priests through Mass stipends. We also regularly support the parishes’ youth work.
